New Patients

At Hampton Roads Pediatric Dentistry, we’re committed to providing you and your child an exceptional dental experience. Our caring, highly trained doctors and team treat our patients and parents just like family. We want you and your child to feel comfortable and relaxed at our office.

Your Child’s First Visit

new_patientThe American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that a child be seen by a pediatric dentist within 6 months of the first tooth erupting or by the age of one, whichever comes first.

Your child’s first dental visit is usually short and involves very little treatment. This visit gives your child an opportunity to meet our doctors in a non-threatening and friendly way. We want to make your child’s first visit and every visit thereafter enjoyable and positive. We will discuss the need for X-Rays and answer any questions that you may have.

During your child’s first exam, our pediatric dentist will check all of your child’s existing teeth for decay, examine your child’s bite and look for any potential problems with the gums, jaws and oral tissues. One of our friendly hygienists will clean your child’s teeth and assess the need for fluoride.

Patient Forms

Remember to bring your completed patient forms and insurance information to your child’s first appointment!

Routine Visits

The American Dental Association recommends your child have a dental check-up and cleaning every six months to prevent cavities and other dental problems.

We know life can get pretty hectic! Remember to schedule your next dental appointment before you leave. Each appointment can last anywhere between 45 and 90 minutes so be sure to schedule your time appropriately!

My boys love going to the dentist, Dr. Bobby and all of his staff at the Williamsburg office are amazing!

Small BIG practice. They have several offices but they focus on the little things that small practices have and big don't. Like on-time appointments and taking time with little kids that panic. Have always impressed me.
